Type. It’s in Your DNA: DVD Covers

For a 4-part Plexifilm documentary series, choose a pre-grouped set of designers, and develop a concept relating them to one another.

My approach for the Women of Letters group was to communicate that typography is not only a large part of what they do, but it makes them who they are as designers. Each of their typographic portraits, containing their unique thoughts on all things design, are displayed on the front covers. Only their hair is represented, as it makes them each unique, and is a widely known source used for collecting DNA.
